Thank you for visiting the Web site of the YMWCA of Newark and Vicinity. The Board of Trustees welcomes you, whether you are a long time member or a new visitor.

Under a five year Strategic Plan adopted by the Board, we expect to solidify our position as a vital member of the Greater Newark community, as we have been for well over a century. At our headquarters at 600 Broad Street, the fitness facilities are kept up-to-date for the enjoyment of our members and guests, and the residential floors continue to be renovated to provide comfortable accommodations for the residents that we serve. Our new branch on the campus of UMDNJ brings us to a fine partnership with our area's leading health facility. Outside of Newark, our camp in Sussex County offers a beautiful lakeside setting for all of its guests, from business people on a corporate retreat to city youngsters on a day trip to the country.

As we strive to encourage healthy lifestyles and strong families, we rely on the hard work of our staff and volunteers. Donations and sponsorship support from our friends make that work possible. Please click the Give to the Y  button on the top of the page to support us in any way that you can.
