Student

Full-time students, 12 credit hours or more - proof of schedule required, age 18+. Includes use of both Newark YMCA at UMDNJ and the Downtown Newark YMCA, silver locker room.

Downtown YMCA Locker Rooms

Silver Locker Room:

Adult and youth, day use locker

Gold Locker Room:

Adults only, towel, day use locker, whirlpool, sauna (women only), steam room, limited number of permanent lockers available

Adult and Family Categories

Adult Silver: Individual age 18-62. Includes use of both Newark YMCA at UMDNJ and the Downtown Newark YMCA, silver locker room.

Adult Gold: Individual age 21-62. Includes use of both Newark YMCA at UMDNJ and the Downtown Newark YMCA, gold locker room.

Senior Gold: Individual age 63+. Includes use of both Newark YMCA at UMDNJ and the Downtown Newark YMCA, gold locker room.

Single Parent: Adult may use both YMCAs. Children may use the Downtown YMCA. This includes immediate family residing at the same address (proof of residency may be required) which includes one adult and up to five children under the age of 18. There is an annual fee of $15 for each additional child payable in full at time of membership issue. The adult member may use the Gold or Silver Locker Room. Children must use Silver Locker Room.

Household: Adults may use both YMCAs. Children may use the Downtown YMCA. This includes immediate family residing at the same address (proof of residency may be required) which includes two adult and up to five children under the age of 18. There is an annual fee of $15 for each additional child payable in full at time of membership issue. The adult member may use the Gold or Silver Locker Room. Children must use Silver Locker Room.
