Recently, 96 students from France found lodging and community at the Newark YMWCA during a two-week vacation to the New York metropolitan area. The students spent their days touring around New York, from Coney Island to the Museum of Modern Art. For many, this was their first trip to the United States and they were amazed at how much there was to do. As guests in the Y Residence, the students were able to use the Y's indoor swimming pool, extensive fitness equipment, gymnasium, racquetball courts and all other amenities. One young woman said the hospitality of the staff will stand out as they remember their lodging at the Y: “The staff members are very good to us.”

Here is an overview of the accommodations available at the Y: 

	Deluxe Accommodation Deluxe rooms include full size bed, air conditioning, ceiling fans, bureau, desk, television, phone, in-room refrigerator and private bath facilities.
	Hostel Accommodation Dormitory rooms include single bed, bureau, and desk. Guests use common men's or women's bath facilities.
	Standard Accommodation Standard Accommodations include single or full size bed, air-conditioning, bureau, desk, ceiling fan, television, and in-room refrigerator. Guests use common men's or women's bath facilities.
