Aikido - The Martial Art
Learn this traditional Japanese martial art while getting a great workout . . .
Try our Aikido martial arts class! The essence of Aikido technique is the use of total body movements to create spherical motion around a stable, energizer center. The practice of Aikido is mainly with partners alternating as attacker (uke) and the one who receives the attack and executes the technique (nage). Both roles will be stressed in class as each contributes to the skills that enhance the student's overall sensitivity to each other and themselves. Classes taught by Derrell Thomas, 3rd degree black belt.
