Silinea's Story:
"Look mom, I'm swimming!" my daughter Courtney said as I held her afloat in the ocean. This prompted my husband and I to immediately search for a swimming class. After a disappointing turn at another facility, we found the Newark YMCA. Immediately, we knew we made the right decision. From the first class, her instructor started teaching the fundamentals.
Over the next two years, she continued to take lessons. Every instructor was the same: kind, patient, and knew how to get the best out of the kids. All qualities needed to work with children.
That's not all. Everyone that works here really cares about you. From the front desk, where you're greeted as soon as you enter, to the janitorial staff, who always has a smile. If we missed a day or two, someone always expressed concern. We feel like we have an extended family here.
The best part, our daughter is now on the swim team! This was by far one of the best decisions we've made.
Thank you,
Silinea (Courtney's mom)
