AWAY Program
The YMCA of Newark and Vicinity is an active member of the AWAY, Always Welcome At YMCAs, Program. Your active Y membership entitles you to visit participating YMCAs in other cities when you are traveling. Ask a member of the staff for additional information.

Membership card
Your membership card is valuable and important. Please show it every time you enter the YMCA and when registering for programs.
Membership cards are non-transferable. The YMCA reserves the right to terminate a membership at its discretion if actions or behaviors are not deemed in the best interest of the organization and other members.
Getting Started
Signing up for a free fitness evaluation and orientation within your first 30 days of membership is an easy first step. A trained Y fitness professional will assess your current fitness level, discuss your goals and recommend appropriate programs. We want you to get the most out of your Y membership and our staff is always ready and willing to be of assistance.
Guests
Your guests are always welcome to join you at the YMCA.
