Counselor-In-Training

Camp Linwood Macdonald

The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program at Camp Linwood Macdonald is a 3-week leadership and skill-building experience for teens ages 15–17 who are ready to take the next step in their camp journey. Through hands-on training, teamwork, and real-world practice, participants learn essential skills in leadership, childcare, teamwork, and program support while building confidence and independence.

CITs will receive American Red Cross First Aid & AED certification, develop strategies for engaging younger campers, assist counselors in daily activities, and explore behind-the-scenes roles that keep camp running smoothly. The program encourages personal growth, initiative, and reflection—helping each participant discover their strengths and leadership potential.
