2025 Leaders and Legends Class of Honorees
YMCA of Newark & Vicinity's 32nd Annual Leaders & Legends Recognition & Scholarship Dinner
2025 is the 32nd Anniversary of the Newark YMCA honoring leaders that believe in the mission of the YMCA. The awards were named after individuals such as: Sir George Williams, the Founder of the YMCA; Robert Wilson, the first African American CEO of a Metropolitan YMCA and one of the first men to break the color barrier in the NBA; and Violet King Henry, the first African American to graduate from Law School in Alberta and first woman named to a senior position in Y USA. Leaders & Legends Recognition and Scholarship Dinner allows us to ensure that we continue to support deserving young students in their endeavor to obtain a college education. |
