The YMCA of Newark and Vicinity has a variety of rooms and facilities available for community rental.
Basketball Court / Gymnasium:
Our Basketball Court/Gymnasium is the ideal space for your sports and large group activities. With a maximum capacity of up to 150 people and a dedicated entrance, it is the ideal place for sports and recreation activities for schools, youth and adult groups and large community events. We offer rentals for a season, a school year, or a single event. Our Director of Healthy Living, Michael Porter works with you to determine a rental program that meets your needs.
Congressman Donald Payne, Sr Community Room
Our accessible Payne Community Room is the ideal venue for meetings and special events. It comfortably accommodates 75 people seated at tables in a variety of arrangements.
Stay at the YMCA
(Extended Stay Program)
The Newark YMCA provides ideal lodging for students, seasonal workers, retirees, under employed, SSI/SSD recipients or anyone seeking comfortable, safe and affordable housing. If you are a current resident within the Tri -State area; work, or go to school in the area, and are seeking a nightly, weekly, or month-to-month stay at unbeatable rates, our Y is for you!
