Group Mentoring

Group mentoring provides a safe, supportive space where youth can share experiences, process thoughts and feelings, and build healthy peer connections. Through guided discussions and activities, youth gain a sense of belonging, reduce feelings of isolation, and develop important life skills.

Benefits for Youth:

  • Normalization & Belonging: Helps youth recognize that their challenges and milestones are shared by others their age.

  • Healthy Peer Support: Reduces social isolation while fostering empathy and understanding.

  • Positive Relationships: Provides consistent connections with caring adult mentors and supportive peers.

  • Skill Building: Encourages growth in communication, relationships, emotional awareness, and school engagement.

How It Works:

  • Structure: Two adult mentors are matched with a group of up to 8 youth (ages 6–17).

  • Commitment: Groups meet in the community for:

    • 2 hours per week for 16 weeks (Fall & Spring)

    • 2 hours per week for 8 weeks (Summer)

  • Activities: Mentors are guided to facilitate meaningful conversations and activities that support personal growth, peer relationships, and life skills development.
