Dear YMCA Member,
I hope you and your loved ones are doing well and trying everything possible to stay safe during this difficult time. Your health and safety are our top priority, and together we will get through this.
There are so many things to worry about during times like this, and your YMCA membership fee should not and will not be something to worry about. To ensure you are focused on more urgent matters, I wanted to inform you that the Newark YMCA will credit your membership for the period we are closed due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Therefore, you will not be charged for any missed time due to our mandated closing.
Since we do not know when the mandatory closing of facilities like the YMCA will end, it is impossible for us to accurately calculate your credit. If this shutdown goes into April and subsequent months, we will not draft bank accounts on the 1st and 15th.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation. As this situation develops, we will continue to post updates on our website, social media, email blasts, and text messages. If you want to receive our text alerts, you can signup by texting NEWARKYMCA to 84483.
